Everyone
is looking for an easy way to lose weight. There are masses of diets on
the
market and just as many opposing opinions on the pros and cons of each.
Its
best to take a step back and think about all this. Firstly, if your
body is
overweight, you are taking in more calories than you are using.
Standard reply
is to cut down the calories. I disagree - if you start cutting down
drastically
on diets, your body will simply adapt itself. Hunker down until you
give up
this foolish idea, then carry on the same. How many times do you hear
people
say that diets do not work?
OK, so if
diets dont work, how do you cut calorie intake? Do you need to? You've
got
another option - burn more carories off. That usually means exercise -
ARGH!
the E word. Not everyone wants to spend hours in the gym working off
the fat.
Alright if you do, but most people are like me, they want to know an
easy way
to lose it without pain. By pain, I mean exercising or going hungry.
So what
can I suggest? Well, there has to be some sort of compromise here, a
little of
everything maybe, but with a few extras added in to make it all more
pleasant.
One thing
certainly worth looking at is the negative calorie diet. The idea
behind this
is that some foods make your body burn more calories to digest them
than they
actually supply. So you end up with a negative balance. Thus you lose
weight.
In theory the more you eat, the more calories you burn, so weight drops
off.
Sounds too good to be true? Of course, but the strange thing is that
there is a
basis of truth in this. They make claims of massive weight loss
possible with
this method.
The
problem is that you should not lose too much weight in one go, or the
diet will
fail. The foods they talk about are fruit and veg with high water
content and
fiber content. You cannot eat massive amounts of such food before you
get fed
up with it. The advantages of the diet are that the high fiber content
does
tend to make you feel full, so you don't get hungry.
How can
we use this then? Try incorporating some of the ingredients in your
normal
diet, substituting them whenever possible. Aim at a weight loss of only
1.5 to
2 pounds a weeks. Thats realistic and achievable.
What
foods are negative calorie? There loads, and the link at the end of
this
article will give you a full breakdown, but some of the foods are;
Asparagus,
apple, beets,broccoli, green cabbage, celery, cucumber, grapefruit,
lettuce,
papaya, pineapple, rasberries, spinach, oranges, turnips and zucchini.
You could
easily make a salad composed of entirely of some of these foods. Snacks
and
treats can be made incorporating several of the foods. Just make sure
that you
do not stick 100% to eating only negetive calorie foods. Be sensible
and just
incorporate the ideas into a diet that suits you.
What else
besides this diet can you do to achive an easy and natural weight loss?
Well, a
wholesome and organic diet is essential. Organic food avoids the
ingestion of
additives and chemicals which pervade our diets these days.They only
get into
our bodies and lead to poor health. They leech natural nutrients from
our food.
Get organic and only take in what you need - pure ingredients and
nutrients.
You will also feel much more satisfied and fuller on these foods than
you will
on over-processed foods. That can only help you lose weight.
Finally,
changing lifestyle will change how you think of food. Alter your
routine to
work around food temptation. Drink plenty of water - it puts you off
eating as
much! Get different interests - look at different outlooks on life.
Read about
self improvement. Think about the alternative ways of lookinf at life -
Buddhism, vegetarianism, Oh just plain relaxing and taking it easy.
Ease back
on life, don't eat on the run. Stop, sit, take time out. Eat at a table
and
have a glass of wine. The French have a great attitude to all this.
